Seeing that one of the main goals of this apostolate
is to clarify teachings and correct misperceptions
about the One Church, Our Blessed Lord Jesus established
on St. Peter, for the good of ALL faith-seekers,
Christian and non-Christian alike:
Unless you state otherwise in your question, our dialogue will probably be put into
the knowledge base. There can be a big plus here. If you are in a tough situation,
the more readers that know your name, the greater the probability more readers will
pray for your situation.
Note: Some
questions we have answered at least 3 times over,
so if you don't get a reply in a while, search our
knowledge base again. You will probably find the
answer to your question. The left navigation bar
categorizes the issues by topic. ALSO: Please
limit your questions to 4 to 5 per e-mail.
Buckshot e-mails will be ignored.
(Optional): The internet brings
together a WORLD-WIDE community of people. So
that we can assist you better, and if it is
relevant to your question, please share with
us some background information:
What country
do you live in?
How old are you?
Are you a man or woman?
Do you have family?
Have you had any religious background?
or any other information you believe would
assist us in answering your question.
We are starting
to receive more questions from Muslims about Catholic
Christianity, while we welcome your questions,
if you have a lot of questions about what the
Church teaches and are non-Christian, make sure
you check out my program
for Protestants, Jews and Muslims and our new
set of web pages for non-Christians.
If your question is of a personal
nature and you wish to not be identified, we can
substitute your name with Anonymous. Just
tell me to do so in the e-mail when asking
the question. You can also make up an alias name
or similar name in line with your inquiry, like:
- John Smith
- Jane Doe
- SeekingButConfused
- WantToJoinBut
In addition, I will strive to
change all e-mail dialogues of a deeply
personal nature to "Anonymous wrote:"
before posting.
E-MAILS THAT WILL NOT BE REPLIED
TO:
- Visitors that want us
to do their homework
- Visitors that want
us to take their test/quiz
- Visitors that want
us to do research for their term papers
and similar questions
Teachers give
out homework FOR YOU do to, NOT US.

PRIVACY AND COUNSELING ISSUES.
Our main goal at AskACatholic.com
is to clarify misconceptions and answer questions
about the Teachings and doctrines of the Catholic
Church. Our focus: Internet Evangelization and
Apologetics. Over the past thirteen years we have
been evangelizing, we have received some questions
that desire some type of "on-line counseling".
We wish to make clear, the apologists at AskACatholic.com
are NOT licensed
counselors. We can give advice, general guidelines
and opinions, but the very
best direction a person can take
is to bring their concern to a local parish priest
that is faithful to the Holy Father and the Teachings
of the Church. He will have the ability to apply
the total situation, the facts, realities, nuances,
to Church Teaching and Canon Law.
NOTE: Some questioners who have written
us, have shown an interest in finding out more
about what Catholics really believe. If you
are a non-Catholic in this category, check out
my FREE Catechism of the Catholic Church for
non-Catholics today! You can find out more and
register here:
http://www.AskACatholic.com/CCCFPP
ALSO make sure we haven't already
answered your question but using our seach engine and if
you reply to our answer, PLEASE use
the REPLY ALL feature of your e-mail program.
This will ensure the whole team gets your reply,
enabling ALL of us to follow-up.
If you have been helped by our
site, any
encouragement would be appreciated.
